The total investment capital is more than 16 billion VND to avoid flooding on National Highway 7A near Khe Bo Hydropower Reservoir. The construction of the road has been ongoing for many years, causing significant impacts on people and vehicles passing by, because when it is sunny, the road surface is dusty, and when it rains, the road surface becomes muddy, with landslides of rocks and trees.

At this time, there were 3 landslide locations, rocks and trees from the high mountains fell down, knocking down the embankment and overflowing onto the current road.

Regularly passing through this route, bus driver Nguyen Minh said: "The rain has been making the ground soft these days, the most frightening thing about passing here is the rocks rolling down from above, if there is no solution for construction, there will be many unpredictable consequences. Although the rocks and soil are collapsing, at this location we do not see any warning signs or people watching for vehicles."

During the inspection of hydropower projects, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Khe Bo Hydropower Project to explain the reasons for the delay in construction of the above bypass project. Mr. Phan The Chuyen, Director of Khe Bo Hydropower Project explained: The main contractor is Ha Dung Company Limited, which has weak capacity and is not capable of construction (since June 2016), this company has stopped operating.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Khe Bo Hydropower Project to quickly bring in another contractor to construct the project, along with solutions to limit the risk of landslides, ensuring safety for vehicles passing through National Highway 7A. This unit must thoroughly handle the landslide sites before December 2017.
