The whole commune currently has 7 villages, with 653 households and 2,831 people, including 3 main ethnic groups: Thai, Kho Mu and H'Mong. Of which, ethnic minorities account for an absolute proportion, economic life is still difficult: The rate of poor households accounts for 74.73%, near-poor households account for 9.65%. Transportation mainly depends on waterways; residential land and production land are limited; the educational level of the people is still low; agricultural products mainly serve self-sufficiency needs, difficult to connect to the market.

During the 2020-2025 term, the local socio-economic situation has made remarkable progress with positive changes in many areas. The total income of the whole commune reached 74,880 million VND, exceeding the set target by 111.8%, while the average income per capita increased to 30.9 million VND, equivalent to 120.7% of the plan. Budget revenue also reached 273 million VND, exceeding the target by 109.2%, while the total social investment capital in the 2021-2025 period is estimated at 650 billion VND, an increase of more than 2.6 times compared to the previous period.

Regarding production development, the Party Committee has focused on directing the restructuring of crops and livestock in a direction suitable to actual conditions, effectively exploiting available potential. The implementation of national target programs has contributed to improving living standards, eliminating hunger, reducing poverty and stabilizing society. Although significantly affected by weather, natural disasters and epidemics, thanks to the timely direction of the Party Committee, many agricultural production targets still achieved and exceeded the set plan.

In particular, the total cultivated area of ​​the commune in 5 years reached 2,626.4 hectares, a sharp increase compared to the target, with crops such as rice, corn, cassava, beans and ginger all expanded or maintained stable, contributing to increasing income for the people. The output of grain food reached nearly 6,000 tons, more than 6 times higher than the plan, while livestock farming was also strongly developed, with the total herd of cattle and poultry increasing significantly, meeting market demand and contributing to improving farmers' lives.

In particular, attention has been paid to afforestation and forest protection, with the area of ​​planted and protected forests increasing, the forest coverage rate reaching over 68%, exceeding the set target, contributing to environmental protection and responding to climate change. Aquaculture activities have developed with the model of cage fish farming and expanded ponds, the output has achieved a growth rate of over 200% compared to the target, creating additional income for the people. At the same time, the work of building new rural areas has been promoted, the criteria have been significantly improved with the concreting of thousands of meters of roads, improving the quality of infrastructure serving the people.

In the field of industry and construction, the commune has created favorable conditions for the development of industrial sectors, contributing to promoting socio-economic development. The grid power system covers 6/7 villages, with nearly 90% of households using electricity. At the same time, cultural works, schools and administrative agencies are built spaciously, meeting the development needs. Attracting investment capital is focused, with a total capital of over 650 billion VND, focusing on key projects such as building roads, commune People's Committee headquarters, and boarding houses for students, creating an important step forward for social infrastructure development.

Regarding services, production, trade and business activities are encouraged to develop in the right direction, ensuring the management of goods quality, contributing to improving people's lives. The application of science, technology and digital transformation is also promoted, information technology infrastructure is gradually invested, telecommunications networks are improved with telephone waves covering most villages, propaganda and support for people in digital transformation are carried out effectively, contributing to improving management capacity and serving the people.

Environmental protection and climate change adaptation are increasingly concerned, with reasonable land use planning, forest protection, inspection and handling of illegal exploitation of natural resources. Measures to prevent and combat natural disasters, collect and treat solid and hazardous waste have achieved a significant rate, contributing to preserving a green - clean - beautiful environment. The rate of population using hygienic water is up to 95%, of which 40% of the rural population has access to clean water, improving living conditions and community health.

Regarding employment and social security, vocational training has been promoted, the rate of trained workers has reached 90% of the plan, at the same time, labor export has also been given attention with remittance income estimated at over 22 billion VND. Policies to support people with meritorious services, the poor and social protection beneficiaries have been implemented promptly, with hundreds of households receiving housing support and loans for production development from the Social Policy Bank, ensuring a stable life for the people.

National defense and security work has been enhanced with the people's security posture consolidated, the militia and reserve forces have been strengthened, ensuring readiness to respond to situations.

Political security was maintained, social order was stable, no complicated incidents occurred, especially strong fight against drug, economic and environmental crimes. Commune police proactively detected and handled violations, strictly managed drug addicts and implemented drug rehabilitation measures, contributing to keeping peace in the community.
