Sour fish soup, sweet and sour soup, linh fish hotpot with water mimosa flowers are the Vietnamese representatives honored to be in the top 57 best fish dishes in the world announced by Taste Atlas.
On July 15, the famous culinary website Taste Atlas announced a list of the world's 57 most delicious fish dishes, including 3 Vietnamese dishes: Sour fish soup ranked 8th, sweet and sour soup ranked 19th and linh ca hotpot with dien dien ranked 53rd.

Sweet and sour soup is considered another version of sour fish soup, originating from the Mekong Delta, then popularized throughout Vietnam.
This soup is sour, sweet and salty. The soup combines ingredients such as seafood (eel, shrimp, snakehead fish, catfish), tomatoes, okra, pineapple, tamarind, bean sprouts and fresh herbs with sour flavor.

Traditionally, the soup is served with rice noodles or white rice. The dish is highly regarded for its “nutritional value, health benefits and short cooking time”, and has now become a “quintessential Vietnamese dish” in the eyes of international tourists.

Originating from Dong Thap province, fish hotpot cooked with sesban flowers is considered a traditional Vietnamese dish.
This hotpot is made from linh fish, a local freshwater fish, and the sesbania flowers. The sesbania flowers are usually blanched to retain their crispness and delicious, rich flavor. The broth consists of coconut water, young tamarind, lotus flowers, water mimosa, and meat broth. The fish is added to the hotpot last.
