Beware of tricks to transfer money into ATM accounts
The State Bank said that according to information from the Investigation Police Agency, Ministry of Public Security, recently, in many localities across the country, there have been continuous cases of fraud to appropriate citizens' assets by tricking them into transferring money into ATM accounts.
Specifically, the subject impersonated a Lottery Company officer to give out lottery numbers, impersonated a State Treasury employee to notify winning numbers to landline phone numbers in rural areas and asked the person notified of the winnings to transfer money to ATM card accounts opened by them at the bank.

The recipient of the prize winning notice, due to ignorance, gullibility and greed, transferred money into the ATM account as requested by the subjects and the subject appropriated it. Recently, the Investigation Police Agency has collected evidence and prosecuted a number of suspects for investigation. The Police Agency has determined that these subjects used fake ID cards to open accounts.
The State Bank recommends that people be vigilant against the above-mentioned methods and tricks of criminal activities; proactively prevent and participate in the fight against this type of crime./.
