Especially these days, as the 12th National Party Congress approaches, social networking sites have seen many articles commenting and providing confusing information about personnel issues, along with many fabricated information, malicious rumors, and personal insults to many high-ranking leaders of the Party and State...

With the way of reasoning, the technique of cutting and pasting documents and images associated with the name of this retired cadre, that veteran party member, and even details of phone calls and text messages down to every minute and every second... to prove that what they wrote was accurate, this type of information has hit the curious psychology of idle people, causing them to get lost in a maze of information, and then unintentionally become a propaganda loudspeaker for those with bad intentions.

For a long time, many people have believed that information on social networks is unofficial, so they do not care, do not accept, do not debate. But now, that concept is probably no longer appropriate. Because information related to a high-ranking leader is always a very sensitive issue, always of interest to everyone. In reality, even if the information is unverified and fabricated, it cannot be denied that this situation is greatly affecting the attitudes, feelings, and beliefs of many people. If there are no measures to prevent and resolve it properly, this type of harmful and malicious information will lead to many consequences, causing skepticism in society.

Bad information and harmful information must be prevented. It is necessary to block harmful information in the consciousness of each person, through equipping oneself with knowledge to distinguish between truth and falsehood, right and wrong, so as not to fall into the plots of hostile forces and bad elements.

On the part of the authorities, it is necessary to proactively confront each information flow to have timely response measures. If it is fabricated or slanderous information, it must be resolutely handled and rejected.

On the other hand, while fabricated and distorted information on social networking sites is widely shared without any information to refute or clarify what is right or wrong, we have implicitly left the battlefield open for evil to run rampant. Therefore, it is necessary for relevant agencies to proactively provide complete information; accurate information from the authorities is needed so that healthy social networking sites in Vietnam and press agencies can use it as a basis for dialogue, clarifying black and white, refuting distorted and untrue information, helping people have enough information, awareness to protect the truth, and maintain their beliefs.

Along with the right to information, citizens also have the right to live in a healthy information environment. The people's hearts and minds are the pinnacle of the art of defending the country. That art needs to be strongly promoted so that the Party will forever be the Party of the people, for the country, for the people, serving wholeheartedly!
