(Baonghean) - In hamlet 3, Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen, everyone knows about the family of Mr. Pham Van Hanh (born in 1981), a construction painter who unfortunately had an accident and was bedridden.

In 2008, after getting married to Ms. Phan Thi Lieu (born in 1987), to have money to build their own home, with a very good painting skill, after a period of doing business around the commune, Mr. Hanh discussed with his wife to go to Binh Duong to start a business with the plan that after having enough food and savings, he would return to his hometown to buy land, build a house, and take care of his parents. However, Mr. Hanh's simple dream was left unfinished when, after a while, in September 2014, while painting a house for his employer, he unfortunately had an accident and fell off a scaffolding. Although he was taken to the hospital for timely surgery, the unfortunate thing happened to Hanh: his back was twisted horizontally, 3 vertebrae were broken, and his spinal cord was injured. After being treated with a splint by nailing and being monitored for 2 months, the family brought Mr. Hanh home for convenient care and treatment...

Mr. Pham Van Hanh had a work accident that left him paralyzed, his circumstances are extremely difficult.

Since returning home, although the family's finances were tight due to having previously spent over 120 million VND on treatment, the family continued to look for other remedies to treat Hanh. Although the hope was very slim, Ms. Lieu did not mind the difficulties and distance to find a doctor and medicine to treat her husband with the hope that he would recover soon. However, after 1 year of care, Hanh's health showed no signs of recovery. Not only that, the lower half of his body was completely paralyzed, without feeling, he had to lie in one place every day, his limbs could not move, all personal activities had to be assisted by others.

Talking to us, Mr. Pham Xuan Sam - Hanh's father said: the family is very happy just hoping that Hanh will recover and be able to take care of himself.

Since Mr. Hanh had an accident and was bedridden, all the work fell on Ms. Lieu's shoulders. She took care of her husband and children while also working, sometimes as a construction worker, sometimes selling scrap metal to help pay for her husband's medical expenses. However, due to her erratic income, life became increasingly difficult.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Chat - Mr. Hanh's neighbor said: Mr. Hanh and his wife have two children of school age. Currently, Ms. Lieu takes care of almost all the family's affairs by herself. Occasionally, the grandparents come over to help when the weather changes. But if in the long run, she has to worry about both medical expenses for Mr. Hanh and school fees for the children, will Ms. Lieu be able to cope?./.
