On the first day of implementing Decree 168/CP, Nghe An Traffic Police recorded 128 violations, mainly related to red light violations, speeding, not wearing helmets, etc.
On January 1, 2025, the Law on Traffic Order and Safety and Decree 168/CP of the Government officially took effect, replacing Decree 100 and Decree 123, regulating administrative sanctions for violations in the field of road traffic.
On the first day of deployment, the Traffic Police force of Nghe An Province Police seriously carried out patrols, controls, detected and recorded 128 violations, mainly for violations such as running red lights, speeding, not wearing helmets, etc.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Nam Hong - Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province Police said: In addition to checking and handling violations, the Traffic Police force also carries out propaganda work, reminding traffic participants about new regulations in the law and decree.
Decree 168/CP stipulates a sharp increase in fines for a number of serious violations, especially those that endanger traffic participants and lead to accidents. This is an important measure to raise awareness of traffic law compliance, while contributing to reducing traffic accidents and forming the habit of complying with traffic regulations.
On January 1, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4 - Road and Railway Traffic Patrol and Control Guidance Department (Traffic Police Department) in charge of National Highway 45 - Nghi Son - Dien Chau - Bai Vot, recorded 13 violations.
Of which, 2 cases of lane change, 6 speeding violations, 1 hand-held phone use, 2 not wearing seat belts, and 2 driving a motorbike on the highway.
