Traffic police discovered a bus driver storing nearly 20kg of firecrackers.

At 5:00 a.m. on August 26, a working group of Traffic Police Team No. 2, under the Traffic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police, was patrolling and controlling passenger transport vehicles and container cargo vehicles according to Plan No. 382/KH-BCA-C08 of the Ministry of Public Security, Plan No. 238/KH-CAT of Nghe An Provincial Police, Plan No. 1662/KH-PC08 of the Traffic Police Department, while on duty at Km 29+500m, on National Highway 7, through Dai Dong hamlet, Thinh Son commune, Do Luong district, when they discovered a passenger car with license plate 37B - 026.33 moving from Nghi Loc district to Do Luong district with suspicious signs.

The task force signaled the vehicle to stop and check. During the inspection, the task force discovered 2 cardboard boxes under the vehicle in compartment 2, containing 14 black plastic packages. Each plastic package contained a colorful box-shaped block with foreign writing on the surface, suspected to be fireworks.

Through investigation, the driver of the above mentioned passenger bus stated that he was Le Van Luong (born in 1990), residing in Mai Tan hamlet, Nghia Hoan commune, Tan Ky district, Nghe An province, a driver of Hien Luc bus company. Accordingly, driver Le Van Luong confessed that the 2 carton boxes inside contained 14 small carton boxes (total weight 18.88 kg) of firecrackers that Luong bought from a man of unknown identity at Lam Hong bus station, in Di An city, Binh Duong province to use.

Based on the nature and severity of the subject's crime, the working group drew up a record of the arrest of Le Van Luong for the act of Possessing prohibited goods, seized and sealed evidence in accordance with regulations, and escorted the subject to the headquarters of Do Luong District Police for further investigation and clarification.
