On the morning of December 15, implementing the plan of the Ministry of Public Security, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4 (Traffic Police Department) launched a peak period to ensure security, order and traffic safety during the 2025 Tet holiday.

On the first day of operation, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4 mobilized modern professional equipment and detected many drivers violating the law.

Specifically, at 7:30 a.m. at Km 451 of the North-South Expressway, National Highway 45 - Nghi Son - Dien Chau - Bai Vot, the patrol and control team discovered a car with license plate 37K-033xx changing lanes on the expressway without signaling, forcing the vehicle behind to brake suddenly. This behavior of the driver was recorded by the traffic police's professional equipment.

As soon as the vehicle turned off the highway, the working group at the National Highway 46B intersection (Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An) stopped the vehicle.

Only when the traffic police showed him the video recording of his actions did driver VVQ (born in 1998, residing in Thai Hoa town, Nghe An) suddenly admit his mistake.

For his violation, Mr. Q. will be fined from 4 to 6 million VND and have his driver's license suspended for 2 months.

Also on the morning of the campaign, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4 discovered a case of high speed violation of 124 km/h, while the maximum allowed speed is 90 km/h.

Along with checking for speeding violations, lane encroachment, lane changing without signaling... the Traffic Police also conducted alcohol concentration tests on vehicles.

In addition, the working group also randomly checked the operating status of journey monitoring devices and dash cams on passenger buses and contract passenger vehicles. Through inspection, nearly 10 vehicles, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4 discovered 1 violation.

Specifically, at 9:40 am, when checking the dash cam data of passenger car 47H-043... the traffic police discovered a video recording the scene of driver NTH (born 1991, residing in Dak Lak) driving and using the phone at the same time. After viewing the video and images, driver H. admitted his mistake and signed the administrative violation report.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Kim Thi - Captain of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4 said: Implementing the plan of the Ministry of Public Security, together with the whole country, from December 15, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4 simultaneously launched an attack, suppressed crimes, ensured security, order and traffic safety with the highest determination to reduce traffic accidents, helping people travel safely and conveniently during the New Year and Lunar New Year 2025.

On this occasion, the Team will focus on behaviors that directly lead to traffic accidents on highways such as: speeding, changing lanes without signaling, stopping and parking on the highway in the wrong place, violating alcohol and drug concentrations, vehicles carrying goods with extended walls or cargo beds, exceeding the size of walls or cargo beds, overloading, etc.

For passenger and contract vehicles, the working groups will focus on checking the maintenance of operations and data transmission of the journey monitoring system and dash cam according to Decree 10; using data from the device to handle behaviors such as driving while using phones or tablets; driving without seat belts, carrying more people than the prescribed number...
