Traffic police become traffic cones on National Highway 1A
Heavy rains have caused localized flooding on some sections of National Highway 1A. To ensure traffic safety, Quang Nam Province Traffic Police have mobilized hundreds of officers and soldiers to work on flooded sections of roads to regulate traffic.
On a nearly 10km stretch of road with hundreds of cars and thousands of passengers stuck due to floods, the Quang Nam Traffic Police force coordinated with the district police to guide and regulate traffic, guide passengers to stay temporarily on the bus as well as eat on the spot.
Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Hong - Head of the Traffic Police Guidance Team of Quang Nam Province said that over the past two days, all officers and soldiers of the Traffic Police of the province and localities in the province have been mobilized to the scene of flooded areas and road blockages due to landslides.

Vehicles are guided by traffic police officers to go in safe directions, avoiding fast-flowing water, collapsed bridges, culverts, and damaged road embankments.
Traffic police also helped vehicles that stalled to safety. Traffic police also set up ropes along the embankment in areas with strong currents to help people safely cross the dangerous section.

Regarding agriculture, 725 hectares of cultivated land were alluviated and flooded; thousands of tons of rice seeds were wet; over 15,000 tons of food were wet and damaged.
Short-term industrial crops were flooded 1,431.5 hectares; nearly 11,000 livestock were damaged; 10,637 poultry were swept away. 14,950m of canals were eroded and damaged. National highways were flooded at 50 locations; 10,000 m of roadbed was damaged; the volume of landslides was 29,000m3. 13 provincial roads were flooded with the volume of landslides about 29,000m3...
In the case of 11 vehicles and 6 fishermen of Nghia An commune, Tu Nghia district whose anchor rope broke at the mouth of Phu Tho river and drifted out to sea, on November 16, the Provincial Border Guard Command mobilized 2 ships, CN 09 and BP 091101, to safely rescue 6 fishermen; searched for 5 vehicles; 3 vehicles sank, and currently 3 vehicles are still drifting at sea.
The Provincial Border Guard Command requested local authorities to mobilize vehicles to continue rescuing the remaining three vehicles.
Quang Ngai province continues to organize 5 working groups to localities to direct the focus on overcoming damage caused by rain and floods.
First, provide emergency rescue and relief; clean up medical centers, hospitals, and clinics to ensure medical examination and treatment for people; fix accommodation for people, clean up the environment, bury dead livestock and poultry; organize detoxification and treatment of domestic water wells for people./.
According to VNA
