Hong Kong police arrest protesters protesting against mainland tourists
According to AFP, on February 8 at a shopping mall, Hong Kong police fired tear gas and arrested several protesters against the influx of mainland Chinese tourists into the special administrative region.
More than 100 people took part in the protest, in the town of Tuen Mun in the New Territories, not far from a border crossing to the mainland. The protest was relatively peaceful until a group of activists stormed shopping areas despite police warnings.

Ten people were arrested after the noisy protests, in which protesters booed police and mainland tourists, according to RTHK.
The move comes amid growing anger among Hong Kong residents over the growing number of mainland Chinese traders, who they accuse of disrupting their daily lives and obstructing public transport./.
