Israeli police attack reporters on duty
The information revealed by Palestinian photojournalist Fadi Aroudi on October 30 surprised many people.
According to Fadi Arouri, the incident took place near the Al-Bireh checkpoint, adjacent to the Israeli settlement of Beit El - which is known for frequent clashes between Palestinian youth and Israeli security forces.
“The police officer chased the photographers and even got into a scuffle with some of us. He took the gas masks off some of the photographers and sprayed pepper spray directly into their faces,” he recounted, adding that the officer even dragged one photographer to the ground and beat him savagely.

Arouri later posted the images on Facebook, where they attracted a large number of views. He said the police officer in the photo was a member of the Israeli border police force, also known as Magav.
In addition to the shocking photos, Arouri even filmed the scene, showing the police spraying the unarmed reporter and medical staff. The video also shows a reporter wearing a bulletproof vest being beaten, slapped, and dragged mercilessly by paramilitary forces.

Viewers could also hear the rumble of tear gas being fired, along with a cacophony of Arabic, Hebrew and English as reporters shouted questions about why they were being attacked, while Israeli police repeatedly threatened them to stay away from the scene.
This is not the first time such images and documents have been released. Previously, 972mag magazine also published a series of shocking photos showing Israeli forces suppressing many unarmed Palestinian youths, shooting them directly in the thigh, or even breaking the arm of a 12-year-old boy.
