After the article was published, the Environmental Police Department - Nghe An Provincial Police conducted an inspection of 3 fishmeal processing facilities.in Dien Ngoc - Dien Chau.
These are the establishments: Kim Ngoc Nam Company Limited in Dong Loc hamlet, Dien Ngoc commune, Hung Chau individual business household and Bac Mien Trung Company Limited in Ngoc Van hamlet, Dien Ngoc.
Through inspection, the working group discovered illegal discharge into Lach Van River for all 3 above facilities, the discharge level is from 5-20 m3/day/facility. The fishmeal processing capacity of the 3 above facilities is from 20-30 tons of fishmeal/day.
