Previously, the security situation in Ferguson, Missouri, USA showed signs of recovery after the local government lifted the curfew and the National Guard began deploying there.
About 200 National Guard troops have been deployed to Ferguson and taken up duty, while snipers have also been deployed on rooftops in surrounding areas.
The National Guard, under the supervision of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, works with highway police and local law enforcement to "respond appropriately to incidents of violence and law violations, and protect the rights of all citizens."./.
