With big, bright and intelligent eyes, Minh Trang is witty and innocent when talking and interacting with us. Born into an artistic family, her father is musician Cao Tat Hiep working at the Art Troupe of Military Region 4; her mother is a painting teacher at Dang Thai Mai School, Vinh City, Minh Trang was introduced to music early. "When I was little, I wanted Trang to play alone so that the adults could work, I just had to turn on the music and she would sit still and listen," Trang's grandmother recounted.
At the age of 3, Minh Trang was sent by her parents to learn singing and dancing at the Viet Duc Children's Cultural House. When she was a little older, Trang was taken by her father to perform with the Military Region 4 Art Troupe in many places. And then, music became her passion. Trang became the core of the arts at the kindergarten, primary school and residential area of block 3, Quang Trung ward.
Seeing that his daughter had a talent for music, in the summer of grade 4, Trang's father let her take piano lessons at the home of a colleague, the meritorious artist Hoang Thanh. Her fingers were still weak, so the first lessons were a lot of hard work, the piano keys were heavy, and when there was a fast rhythm, Trang's ten fingers tried to follow the keys but felt like they were congested. But her passion won, Minh Trang gradually matured and absorbed music quite quickly. Teacher Tran Thi Tu Anh - Music teacher, Quang Trung Primary School said: "Having taught music and art to Trang from grade 1 to grade 5, I found that Trang was always a passionate and talented student in music. The most noticeable thing about her is her innocent, pure and witty performance style."
At the first Digital Piano Festival organized by the Ministry of Education and Training for the Northern Education and Training sectors, Minh Trang was one of two students representing Nghe An to attend this festival. Participating in a major competition for the first time, Trang only wanted to exchange and learn from her friends. With a solo performance of John's Sonata, surpassing hundreds of other contestants, Minh Trang won first prize in the applause of the audience and won first prize for her team. Minh Trang shared: "The Sonata is very good in its cheerful rhythm, suitable for students' age, so I chose this piece to compete. First prize at the festival was an unexpected surprise...". In addition to the Sonata, Trang also plays other pieces of music very well such as "Letter to Ely", "Canon"...
Passionate about playing the piano, she spent a lot of time practicing, but for 5 consecutive years Trang was an excellent student of the school with a total score of 10 in Math and Vietnamese. Cao Le Minh Trang's dream is to become a real piano artist.
