Timely rescue of Nghe An fishing boat crew in distress at sea
(Baonghean.vn) - While fishing at sea, a crew member on a fishing boat in Nghe An fell unconscious from the deck. The Coast Guard's Squadron 2 (Nghe An Border Guard) arrived promptly to provide first aid and transport the victim to shore.
At 7:00 p.m. on December 23, fishing boat NA 99991 TS with 9 crew members, owned by Mr. Ngo Tri Dong, residing in Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district, was exploiting seafood in an area about 44 nautical miles north of Cua Hoi. Crew member Dong Xuan Thuy, 40 years old, residing in Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district, unfortunately had an accident and fell from the cabin to the deck of the boat, unconscious, in danger of his life. The owner of the boat requested urgent rescue.

Immediately after receiving the news, Nghe An Border Guard Command mobilized forces of Squadron 2 and vehicles to the location of the fishing boat for rescue.
After performing initial first aid, that same night, Nghe An Border Guard force transported the injured crew member to shore and transferred him to a higher level for further treatment.
