Repair work is expected to be completed by 2:00 p.m. on January 23. At that time, 100% of transmission channels will be restored.
Previously, at 8:00 a.m. on January 5, an incident occurred that caused the AAG international submarine cable to have a cable failure on the S1H cable section, about 120 km from Vung Tau station.
The incident affected the traffic of telecommunications service providers in Vietnam operating on this route.
When the incident occurred, telecommunications service providers used land cables to forward the downed AAG traffic to minimize the impact on customers.
At the same time, it is recommended that customers use international Internet for their important services, other services should be switched to domestic routes to optimize transmission capacity.
