(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 31st, Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho and a delegation inspected operations at a weighing station on National Highway 1A in Dien Chau district. There, the delegation proceeded to modify the truck bodies of "tiger-claw" trucks of Chinese origin.
During an inspection at Mobile Weighing Station No. 15 in Dien An commune, Dien Chau district, Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho, leaders of the Vietnam Road Administration, the Department of Vehicle Registration, and Mr. Nguyen Hong Ky, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Nghe An Department of Transport, paid particular attention to the operation of "tiger-dump" trucks of Chinese origin. These trucks have been modified and expanded, and frequently violate regulations regarding oversized and overloaded vehicles. Many people liken these "tiger-dump" trucks to vehicles that are destroying roads and have become a major problem nationwide.

At the mobile inspection station, the task force inspected and discovered a series of overloaded trucks with modified structures, such as extensions and welded additional truck beds. In particular, when inspecting a truck with license plate 37C 03488, traffic inspectors found that the truck bed had been extended. According to the registration certificate, the truck bed was 1.5 meters high, and the owner had committed not to extend it, but on the morning of July 31st, the inspection team discovered the truck bed was 1.88 meters high. Immediately, Comrade Le Dinh Tho and Comrade Nguyen Hong Ky requested that a penalty report be drawn up and that the extended truck bed be cut down, resolutely addressing the issue of overloaded trucks damaging the roads.
