Premature baby boy who stopped breathing revived thanks to being held by his parents

Jamie Ogg, the premature baby boy who had difficulty breathing, miraculously came back to life when held in his parents' arms, grew up healthy and is now 6 years old.

According to Telegraph, 6 years have passed since the incident, but now the couple Kate and David Ogg in Queensland, Australia, have recounted the story of maternal love that helped their son miraculously recover and escape the hands of death.

After years of trying to conceive and seeking treatment in many places, in 2010, Ogg became pregnant with twins. Her joy was not complete when, at the 26th week of pregnancy, she suddenly went into labor and gave birth 14 weeks early. The doctor announced that one of the twins had stopped breathing after being born prematurely. The medical team tried to treat her for 20 minutes, taking measures to reopen her airway but failed. All hope of saving the child seemed to have faded.

Receiving the shocking news from the doctor, the mother hugged her baby tightly. Wishing that her little baby would be warmed by the love of a parent, Ogg told her husband to take off his shirt and get into bed to hug both mother and baby. At that time, the couple decided to name their baby Jamie. They warmed the baby and whispered loving words. At that moment of love and tearful farewell, the couple was extremely surprised to see their baby start to move and breathe more strongly. Immediately, the hospital staff came to help and the baby miraculously came back to life. Happiness exploded when little Jamie had overcome fate.

“When I got the bad news, I took him from the doctors and told everyone to get out,” Ogg recalled. “He was cold and I just wanted to warm him up. I just wanted to hold him. I know it was probably silly, but I didn’t give up.” The couple began whispering their son’s name, telling him that he had a twin sister lying outside. “If I had been so heartbroken that I let him go out with the doctors, he probably wouldn’t have survived,” the mother added.

In fact, the skin-to-skin method between mother and newborn immediately after birth as Ogg did brings many benefits to the health of the child. This method is applied effectively by many mothers.
