Hanoi Police Club meets legendary Brazilian team
The Hanoi Police Club has just announced that this team will play a friendly match with the legendary Brazilian team at 5:00 p.m. on April 29. The South American representative brings to Vietnam many famous players associated with football fans from 1998-2006 such as Dunga, Rivaldo, Edmilson, Kléberson or Lucio....
Thus, Nguyen Quang Hai and his teammates have the opportunity to face many players who were World Cup 2002 champions. Dunga himself was also the head coach of the Brazilian national team. Despite having retired for many years, some Brazilian players still maintain good physical condition compared to their age. This is considered a match between football artists.
"For many long-time Vietnamese football fans, the Brazilian team in the late 20th and early 21st centuries was a beautiful memory with its free-spirited, charming and magical playing style. Each match of the "Samba Dancer" often brought unforgettable emotions to football fans.
On April 29, the former legends of "Selecao" will bring Hanoi football fans back to those emotions with a special friendly match between Hanoi Police Club and a team of former Brazilian players such as Dunga, Rivaldo, Edmilson, Kléberson or Lucio," wrote Hanoi Police Club.
Khanh Thi and Phan Hien's son won the world dancesport championship for the second time.
On the afternoon of April 23, Phan Hien and Khanh Thi shared about the outstanding achievements of their son Kubi (Minh Cuong). Kubi and his dance partner May (Linh San) won the world championship for the second time in the children's category 1 (6-9 years old) at the dancesport tournament Syllabus World Championship.
This year, Kubi and May registered for two competitions, Standard and Latin, at the Syllabus World Championship 2024. In the Standard competition with 5 dances Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot and Quickstep, the two stopped in the semi-finals with 12th place.
In the Latin category, the two girls maintained their form as they went through 4 rounds with more than 70 pairs of contestants from all over the world to be named in the 6 pairs of contestants in the final. Despite facing many strong opponents from many countries, Kubi and May excelled and won the championship.
Kubi was born in 2015, the first son of dancesport champion couple Khanh Thi and Phan Hien. The boy showed dancing talent from a young age.
Previously, Kubi won a gold medal at the Syllabus World Championship 2023.
Will the plan to select a coach for the Vietnam national team change?
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) is expected to soon complete the process of selecting a head coach for the Vietnam national team to replace Mr. Troussier.
After the Vietnamese team's consecutive defeats against Indonesia in the 2nd qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup, VFF quickly terminated the contract with coach Troussier.
Many people believe that the Vietnam Football Federation should give opportunities to domestic coaches. However, most experts and fans agree that Vietnamese football is only suitable for foreign coaches at the present time.

Responding to Tien Phong, a VFF leader revealed: “The process of selecting a coach for the Vietnam national team is currently being implemented. Recently, we have worked with the National Coaching Council to agree on the necessary criteria. Currently, the Council is considering a number of options, but we still need more time to evaluate them.”
Also on Tien Phong page, a member of the National Coaching Council said: “We have considered many profiles but there is no option for a domestic coach. To be honest, there are not many domestic coaches who want to take on the above position, in addition to professional issues, there is also a lot of pressure. To improve the level of the Vietnamese team and build a unique playing style, a foreign coach is also a better option.”
It is expected that VFF will announce the new coach of the Vietnamese team at the end of April or at the latest in early May so that the Vietnamese team can prepare for the last two matches of the 2nd qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup in Asia next June.
It is known that VFF is also considering the option of finding a temporary coach for the two matches between the Vietnamese team and the Philippines and Iraq next June.
Chelsea opens the door to welcome Varane
Raphael Varana is counting down the days to his final days at Manchester United, as his current contract ends on June 30. Varane's contract has a one-year extension clause. However, he has no intention of activating it and is looking for a new environment.
According to sources in England, Chelsea are planning to sign Varane on a free transfer. Although Varane has had many physical problems since joining MU, Chelsea believe they can manage this problem well.
In case of achieving Varane's signature, the 30-year-old French center-back playing 50% of the matches will also be a success for Chelsea.

Glen Johnson, who won the Premier League with Chelsea in 2004-05, has advised his former club not to pass up the chance to sign Varane in the summer transfer window. "He's not the same player he was three or four years ago, but he's still a very good player," Johnson said. "Yes, he's had injury problems. But if he's signed for free and he only plays 50% of the games, I think it's a good deal."
Varane has yet to make a choice about his next destination./.
