'Dog thief' slashed people, stole motorbikes and turned himself in
(Baonghean.vn)- Yen Thanh District Police said that one of the two suspects who stole a dog, pulled out a knife to slash someone, and stole a motorbike to escape in Vinh Thanh Commune on November 27, 2017 has turned himself in.

According to the investigation agency's documents, the perpetrators of the above robbery were Truong Van Sy (born 1996), residing in hamlet 3 and Nguyen Cong Hau (born 1998), residing in hamlet 5, both residing in Xuan Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.
After many days in hiding, Truong Van Sy turned himself in to Yen Thanh District Police, admitting his crime.

According to Sy's initial statement, on November 27, Sy and Hau rode a Sirius motorbike with license plate 37P1-116.20 to Vinh Thanh commune to steal dogs.
When caught by Phan Van Duong (40 years old), residing in Vinh Thanh commune, Hau immediately attacked Duong, while Sy pulled out a sword and slashed him, causing minor injuries.
When Mr. Duong abandoned his motorbike and ran away, Hau and Sy stole Mr. Duong's motorbike and escaped, leaving their motorbike behind.
Upon receiving the report of the incident, Vinh Thanh Commune Police and Yen Thanh District Police were present at the scene to collect information and conduct verification.
In just a short time, Yen Thanh District Police clarified that the owner of the Sirius motorbike with license plate 37P1-116.20 was the property of a local resident.
At the same time, using professional measures and screening suspects, Yen Thanh District Police clarified the identities of the two perpetrators of the above robbery, Truong Van Sy and Nguyen Cong Hau.

Knowing that he could not escape the crime, Sy surrendered to the police, while Hau fled the area. Hau’s family handed over Duong’s motorbike to the police to return to the victim.
It is known that Nguyen Cong Hau has many previous convictions for theft, robbery, intentional injury, etc. However, at the time of the crimes, Hau was not old enough to be subject to the penalties prescribed by law.
Currently, Yen Thanh District Police have initiated a criminal case, prosecuted the accused, detained Truong Van Sy and arrested Nguyen Cong Hau for robbery and snatching.
