The bridge on Son - My road (Yen Thanh) has been constructed.

(Baonghean.vn) -The bridge on Son - My road belongs to the project of building a traffic road to the cassava and pineapple raw material area from Son Thanh commune to My Thanh commune (Yen Thanh) which started construction in 2007 but has been unfinished for many years.

The project to build a road to the cassava and pineapple raw material area from Son Thanh commune to My Thanh commune, invested by the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district, was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 2578/QD.UB-CN dated July 17, 2006, adjusted in Decision No. 204/QD.UBND-CN dated January 17, 2007. The capital source for the project is from the provincial budget supporting investment in the construction of the main traffic axis of the raw material area; district and commune budgets, mobilizing people to carry out compensation and site clearance work.

The capital for the project has been allocated 10,500 million VND/12,611 million VND (83% of the total investment). The project was started in 2007 and divided into 2 packages. Package 1: Construction of foundation, road surface and culverts on the route. Package 2: Construction of bridge at Km3+272.35 (valued at 1,800 million VND). Package 1 has been completed many years ago. As for package 2, the winning bidder stopped construction after constructing the bridge abutments and piers, not following the bidding schedule, the applied volume exceeded the actual volume.

After many years, the bridge on Son - My road has been rebuilt.

It is known that the reason for the slow progress is due to lack of capital. According to Mr. Hoang Trong Minh - Vice Chairman of Son Thanh Commune People's Committee, the bridge was not built so the Son - My road could not be effective. This is a very necessary raw material road, so voters of the 4 communes of Son Thanh, Bao Thanh, Cong Thanh, My Thanh have repeatedly petitioned the Yen Thanh District People's Committee to urge the contractor to continue building the bridge.

Not only the local people but also anyone passing through here expressed their frustration about this unfinished bridge, affecting travel, especially during the rainy and stormy season. In this situation, the Provincial People's Council has requested the Provincial People's Committee to clarify the delay in the construction of the bridge on Son - My road, because this is one of the recommendations about the slow progress of the province's investment projects and works in the area, affecting the lives and production of the people. After many years of unfinished construction, the bridge has recently been re-constructed.
