(Baonghean.vn) -NOn September 14, 2013, on National Highway 7A, the section passing through Khe Bo village, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district, there was a traffic jam that lasted for hours.

The cause of this incident was an ancient banyan tree located on the roadside near Khe Bo market, which fell across the road. The incident happened at 1am, however, the tree was not removed until 8am, and it took 30 minutes for the authorities to remove the tree and the road to be reopened.

A road management worker said that after the incident, the authorities arrived in time and started to clear the area, but were stopped by the locals. The reason given by the locals was: This is a sacred tree, thousands of years old, and if they want to move it, they must make offerings and pray carefully before it can be moved.

Fortunately, at the time the tree fell across the road, there were no people or vehicles passing by, so there was no damage to people or property.

The worship was also done very methodically before moving the "sacred" tree.

A large banyan tree, large enough for three people to hug, blocked the road, causing traffic congestion.

Cars lined up waiting for more than 7 hours

Many curious people came to see this event.
