Gas stations must install receipt printing equipment.
From July 1, 2019, petrol and oil measuring columns at fuel stations are required to have equipment to record and print measurement results to provide to customers upon request.
This regulation is issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) through Circular No. 08/2018/TT-BKHCN amending and supplementing Clause 7, Article 6 of Circular No. 15/2015/TT-BKHCN dated August 25, 2015 regulating measurement and quality in petroleum trading.
Accordingly, from July 1, 2019, petrol measuring stations must have equipment to record and print measurement results to print and provide measurement results to customers upon request.

The Ministry of Science and Technology stipulates that devices for recording and printing measurement results must meet measurement requirements. Specifically, the device must not have a structure or function that changes the measurement results or technical measurement characteristics of the fuel measuring column.
Measurement results must ensure sufficient, clear and transparent information for those with relevant rights and obligations to check the measurement implementation, measuring instruments and quantity of goods.
Previously, the Ministry of Science and Technology had stipulated that from July 1, 2018, petrol and oil measuring stations must be equipped with a device to print goods documents, to print and provide to customers. However, the new circular from this Ministry shows that the implementation of the regulation will be delayed by 1 year.
