The Head of the Central Propaganda Department pointed out that besides the advantages and achievements, he frankly admitted that press activities and the Journalists Association still have shortcomings and defects that need to be promptly overcome in the coming time.

There are some writers who show signs of degradation, there are articles that do not lead public opinion but sometimes have negative effects. There are still cases of members and journalists violating the law, violating professional ethics, the content, methods, and professionalism in the activities of some levels of the Association are not high, so they have not created attraction and appeal for journalists to participate in the Association's activities.
Especially with the development of social media and the internet, journalists have more favorable conditions to work, but the downside is that it creates conditions for journalists who are not serious and superficial in their work to copy each other's news articles. There are writers who do not originate from the mission of journalists but because of money, profit, fame, and the influence of group interests, leading to degeneration. "This is an issue we need to overcome and push back in the coming time" - Comrade Vo Van Thuong emphasized.
The Head of the Central Propaganda Department affirmed: The Party, the State and the people always acknowledge and appreciate the efforts and important contributions of the press and the Vietnam Journalists Association in the revolutionary cause; care to support and create conditions for the press to develop and hope that the team of journalists will constantly strive and train to fulfill their glorious and noble mission, worthy of the advice of President Ho Chi Minh: "The task of the Journalists Association is to make members closely united, help each other to improve their political and professional level. Only then can the Journalists Association fulfill its duties and journalists serve the people and the revolution well."
