(Baonghean) - As one of the few remaining advisers from Donald Trump's election campaign, senior White House adviser Stephen Miller is rapidly emerging to become one of the most influential figures on Capitol Hill.

At the age of 31, Miller is said to be the person behind many important speeches of President Donald Trump, including the US leader's notable speech at the recent APEC Summit in Vietnam.

Politics "seeps" into the blood
During his recent trip to Asia, US President Donald Trump delivered important and noteworthy speeches, one before the South Korean National Assembly and the other at the APEC Summit Week in Vietnam.
These speeches were considered to be well-written and carried many messages from the US to Asia. The person behind the writing of those statements was identified by US insiders as Stephen Miller - one of President Trump's close advisors.
Born in 1986 in California, Miller was exposed to and pursued politics from an early age. Friends, classmates, and colleagues all describe Miller in one word: conservative. The White House adviser's conservative ideology emerged since he attended high school in Santa Monica.
Miller's entire stance on immigration dates back to his high school days, when he went on the radio to complain about multiculturalism.
During his years at Duke University, Miller appeared on television, chaired debates, and wrote frequently on political topics.
A Jew, Miller often writes anti-Christmas articles, tightening immigration to protect national security and preserving American culture.
After earning his bachelor's degree, Miller moved to Washington, where he began to put into practice the political views he had held for years. His first job was as press secretary for Republican congresswoman Michele Bachmann.
Bachmann later said she “bet” on Miller, who had no experience before she hired him. Miller then worked for Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, who is now attorney general in the Trump administration.
During that time, Miller helped his boss become the most vocal critic of a bipartisan immigration reform bill in 2013 and drafted immigration talking points that helped Sessions lead a behind-the-scenes push to kill the bill.

Miller’s advocacy for conservative immigration policies was one of the factors that put him on the radar of billionaire Donald Trump. During the 2016 election campaign, Miller wrote most of Trump’s speeches and was a prominent figure in the billionaire’s campaign team.
After winning the election, President Trump made Miller a senior policy adviser. In his inaugural address, Trump sparked controversy when he said he saw nationalism as a “cure” for racism.
Few people know that this idea was put forward by Stephen Miller in a 2005 article. “I understand the President’s vision and ideas,” Miller once told Bloomberg. “I can be the one to do it.” Stephen Miller is a very confident person. It is Miller’s absolute confidence that is very popular with Mr. Trump.
The “Survivor” of the West Wing of the White House
Over the past 10 months, the White House has been plagued by personnel crises. People have come and gone. But Stephen Miller has remained and is one of the few aides on President Trump’s team since the election, along with Communications Director Hope Hicks and Social Media Director Dan Scavino.
Becoming a policy adviser in the White House, Miller quickly consolidated his influence, while even his "seniors" such as chief strategist Stephen Bannon were forced out of the West Wing.
While they share similar policy views, their approaches to the job are very different. Bannon has publicly clashed with his rivals within the White House, including the President's son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner.
Miller, meanwhile, took a different approach. Miller developed a good working relationship with Kushner, despite their policy differences. White House Chief of Staff John Kelly appreciated this.
“Stephen has been very skillful in surviving multiple purges and now in the White House, he doesn’t have to worry about standing up to other staffers,” said Jason Miller, a Trump campaign aide. “Stephen’s sole focus is on President Trump and what he wants to do.”

The similarities helped Miller go from speechwriter to policy adviser to President Trump. Gradually, Miller's words became Trump's words. At times, it was difficult to distinguish the tone of Trump and Miller.
“I could recognize Stephen’s voice,” said Nick Silverman, a classmate of Miller’s at Santa Monica High School. “Even when Trump gave this speech, I knew, it was Stephen.”
Those close to both President Trump and adviser Miller believe that, more than anyone else, Mr. Miller is the one who perfectly captures Mr. Trump's spoken language to translate into a more elegant speech.
Mr Trump often insists that every word he says be recorded in a draft speech and scolds those who dare change a word or add an overly complex political point.
And only Stephen Miller faithfully carried out the President's instructions.
Not only is he the one who creates the "soul" for the President's attention-grabbing speeches, Stephen Miller is also the person behind many important policies of the Trump administration, including the decree banning citizens from 7 major Muslim countries from entering the US and closing the DACA immigration protection program.
In addition to sharing similar views with the White House boss, his ingenuity and loyalty are expected to help policy advisor Stephen Miller not only "survive" but also maintain his role as President Donald Trump's right-hand man./.
