(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 14, at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City), stage 4 of the National Cycling Race for the Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup took place with the theme "One country, one race".
This event is part of the National program to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2015) and the 125th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2015). Before the 4th stage, the Organizing Committee and athletes came to offer flowers to commemorate Uncle Ho at Ho Chi Minh Square, then Hoa Sen Group - the sponsor of the prize presented 30 bicycles to poor and studious students in Nghe An province and 10 bicycles to poor and studious students in Ha Tinh province (the locality where the racing team will pass through tomorrow). In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded the Yellow Jersey after 3 stages to racer Nguyen Vu Linh (Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap) and a number of other individual prizes.

At exactly 8:30, the racers started stage 4 with 20 laps of 54 km around Ho Chi Minh Square. This was a short race, so the racers pushed their speed very high to continue competing for rankings in two Sprints (laps 7 and 14) to win bonus points and bonus hours to compete for the yellow jersey title. After more than 1 hour of intense and exciting racing, under the strict protection of the Organizing Committee and the enthusiastic cheers of many people on both sides of the road, the racers completed the 54 km distance earlier than expected.
As a result, individual achievements, racer Tran Van Quyen (Military Zone 7) won first prize with a time of 1h12'47'', average speed of 44.516 km/h; second prize went to racer Nguyen Thanh Tam (Gao Han Ngoc Troi - An Giang); third prize went to racer Nguyen Vu Linh (Domesco Dong Thap Pharmaceutical)... In the team event, the Domesco Dong Thap Pharmaceutical team won first prize.
