The "Cuoi" from Quynh and his football talent

(Baonghean) - “Cuoi” is the name that teammates and fans often affectionately call striker Ho Phuc Tinh of the SLNA U21 team. That name was continuously chanted when this player played excellently at the 2014 National U21 Tournament, contributing significantly to SLNA’s 5th championship.

In 1994, Ho Phuc Tinh was born into a poor farming family in Quynh Hau commune, Quynh Luu district. The family had 3 siblings, Tinh was the youngest and the only son, the whole family affectionately called him “Cuoi” and that name has followed Tinh to this day. Since discovering their son’s passion for football, Tinh’s parents have created many favorable conditions. Tinh said: “When I was young, I loved football, with a group of friends in the village, we often went to the yard at the end of the village to play football. My parents reminded me many times, but later, seeing that I loved it so much, my parents indulged me and let me play football more.”

In 2008, Tinh was selected to join SLNA Club after impressive performances at district-level competitions in Quynh Luu. Right from the first day of entering SLNA's "furnace", Tinh always tried to practice hard and seriously. Recognizing Tinh's ability and efforts, he was selected to join SLNA's age-group teams to participate in organized tournaments. At the 17th National U21 Tournament, Tinh was selected to join SLNA's team to participate in the tournament. Along with the team's determination to break the record set by the team with 4 championships, Tinh had a very impressive tournament. Many opinions said that a bright future awaits this player with proven talent. As a result of these successes, Tinh was honored to be called up to Thanh Nien Newspaper's U21 team to participate in the International U21 Tournament held in Can Tho.

At the end of the 2014 National U21 Tournament, Ho Phuc Tinh was awarded the title of Top Scorer with 5 goals scored, along with the title of Best Player of the Tournament. That result has partly continued to prove the talent of "Cuoi". Hopefully, that will be the motivation for "Cuoi" Ho Phuc Tinh to continue to shine in the future, contributing to the SLNA football brand.
