Naked carpenter repairs house, shocking

A British carpenter shocked his neighbors by regularly renovating their homes in the nude.

Former soldier Robert Jenner, 42, lives in Snodland, Kent, England. Although he is a nudist, Jenner said he may have to give up his passion because his neighbors are starting to notice, according to Mirror.

"I got out of the military 11 years ago and bought this house, I live in my van and rent out the house," Jenner said. "Nudism appeals to me because it's about freedom and liberation."

"My mother doesn't know I'm a nudist, but she only lives a few miles away so she'll find out sooner or later."

Earlier this month, Jenner was reported to the police for disturbing the peace by his neighbors, but he was not embarrassed and continued to repair his house naked. Police visited him twice but did not find him. Last week, the neighbors called again and Jenner was arrested while fixing a faucet, naked.

He was charged with intimidation and harassment on 10 September and is due to appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates Court next month. Jenner said he would be fully clothed at the hearing.

"I don't think it's illegal until someone complains and people find out and report me," Jenner said. "I'm being very pessimistic, but I think people just want to see the drama."

"I don't care what the neighbors think, but the complainers are the ones who always smile at me," Jenner lamented.

Jenner then placed a sign outside the house that read: "A naked person is working in here, please be understanding."

"We've always known he was a nudist but it's gone too far," said one neighbour. "There are a lot of families with children living on this street. All he needs to do is wear clothes when he goes out."

Another neighbor commented that Jenner "has a good body" and felt that Jenner's nudity was normal.

"I have a husband, son and grandchildren, maybe that's why I'm not too shocked," she said.
