The interesting and unique images from the young photographer's trip around the world have made the world extremely excited and admired.
John Thackwrayis a young photographer and filmmaker from South Africa. John started his journey around the world in 2010. And to make his trip more meaningful and special, he decided to do a project called 'My Room Project' - recording typical images of bedrooms from each land he set foot on.
After 6 years of practice, John took 1,200 photos.bedroomacross 55 countries from many long trips across America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. They are all young people born in the 80s and 90s, some rich, some poor, some traditional, some very modern. Everything is extremely new and interesting.

Wherever John goes, he always tries to get to know and befriend the locals so that they can comfortably share with him a glimpse into their lives and identities, as well as allow John to capture their most private spaces.
'I think if I didn't take these photos, no one would know about them because the world changes so quickly. I guess in twenty years' time, the photos will be very valuable,' John shared.

John Thackwray's 'My Room Project' is currently being exhibited extensively in France, China, South Africa and Japan.
John's project received a lot of support from everyone. Everyone was excited about the images that they never knew about during their studies or even through Google searches.
