(Baonghean) - Truong Quang Trung was born and raised in the pure countryside of Do hamlet, Tho Hop commune, Quy Hop district. He is the 8th son in a family of 9 siblings, his parents are purely farmers, his father passed away when Trung was only 16 years old, the family has many siblings so life is very difficult and hard. In 2000, after graduating from high school, his family was in financial difficulty so Trung did not take the university entrance exam but decided to study a trade early to work to help his family.

After many months of research inside and outside the district, Trung found that his hometown had abundant mineral resources, especially white and pink stones used as raw materials for stone carving, so Trung was determined to learn the stone carving profession.

After 2 years studying at Nghe An Small Industry School - majoring in sculpture, but when he returned, he had no practical experience, so he didn't know where to start. He continued to pack his bags and learn the craft at famous stone carving villages. In 2008, Trung returned to Quy Hop and opened his own stone carving workshop.

After many years of hard work, his efforts were finally rewarded when the products he made sold very well, and more and more customers came to order. From rough, jagged, lifeless, lifeless blocks of stone, but with his intelligence and skillful, talented hands, Trung created highly artistic products. Trung gradually built a facility specializing in fine art stone carving with 3 cutting machines, 2 grinding machines, 3 drilling machines, 1 lathe and other auxiliary machines.

Currently, Truong Quang Trung's fine art stone sculpture facility can receive and make highly artistic items such as: lions, tigers, unicorns, and other decorative statues.

Every year, Trung's facility produces 140-150 products of all kinds, earning around 150 million VND/year. Talking to us, Trung confided: "Each job, each profession has its own hardships and joys. But whatever you do, you have to love the job and be passionate about it. Investing in thinking and finding the most effective way to do things is the premise for success. Stone carving is both hard and demanding, and requires patience and dexterity. Sometimes it is also toxic and dangerous due to carrying and climbing. But once you love the job, it is difficult to quit."

What is admirable about Trung is that, along with his will and determination to overcome difficulties and build his own career, Truong Van Trung also cares about creating conditions to help train and create jobs for many young people in the village and commune.

With his achievements, Truong Quang Trung was honored to receive the medal "For the cause of building and developing the Great Unity of Vietnamese peoples" from the Central Committee of Ethnic Minorities, the title "Young Talent" of Vietnam for the first time in 2009 by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and in October 2012, Truong Quang Trung was honored to be one of 6 outstanding young people of Nghe An province to receive the Luong Dinh Cua award presented by the Central Committee of the Youth Union.
