3 year old child stuck in escalator at Big C Vinh supermarket
(Baonghean.vn) -On the evening of October 22, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force of Nghe An Province Police successfully rescued Bui Hoang Hai (3 years old, residing in Hung Dong Commune, Vinh City) who was stuck in the escalator of Big C Vinh supermarket.
At around 7:50 p.m. on October 22, Mr. Bui Xuan Van (residing in Mai Loc hamlet, Hung Dong commune, Vinh city) took his son Bui Hoang Hai (3 years old) to Big C Vinh supermarket (Nghe An) to shop. While he was taking his son up the escalator between the 2nd and 3rd floors of the supermarket, Hai fell to the floor and got his leg caught in the elevator. Immediately afterwards, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Nghe An province came to rescue the child. At 9:00 p.m., Hai was taken to Nghe An Children's Hospital for emergency treatment.

Colonel Le Quoc Bao - Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Nghe An Province said: "The child's leg was stuck in the stairs, so we had to use a hydraulic lift to lift the stairs to get the child out."
Hai was seriously injured in the thigh and abdomen.
At Nghe An Children's Hospital, after first aid, Hai suffered serious injuries to his thighs, abdomen and genitals. By 10pm the same day, the family had completed the procedures to transfer Hai to Hanoi Children's Hospital for treatment. On the morning of October 23, a representative of Big C Vinh said that this was a rare and unfortunate incident and Big C Vinh would provide support to Hai's family.
The cause of the incident is currently being investigated and clarified by the authorities./.
