According to ABC (Australia), firefighters were present at the scene to deal with the fire this morning (December 13). The fire is said to have destroyed the entire office complex of the Les Twentyman Foundation located in this market.
Roads around the scene of the fire, including Nicholson and Donald, were closed and residents were asked to close their doors and windows.
The fire is believed to have started in a cold room in a mechanical area and there are currently no suspicious signs about the cause of the fire.
The market is home to about 25 small businesses, including restaurants, a bakery and an Asian market.
The Les Twentyman Foundation, which works with disadvantaged youth, has its offices above the market.

The organization's founder, Mr Twentyman, feared they might have lost all their textbooks, clothes and Christmas gifts for homeless children.
"We have about 6,000 textbooks in our office, probably a lot of Christmas gifts," said Twentyman. "Last year we helped 420 homeless kids go to school. We've been doing this for 26 years."
Loc Lam, a trader in the market, said he believed the fire was caused by an electrical fault. He also said the loss was very sad and that rebuilding the market would certainly take many years.
