Minutes after the fire broke out, the fire department dispatched four fire trucks to the scene to put out the fire. Thousands of workers and passersby gathered around the fire, making it difficult to put out the fire. In addition, the fire was located in the center of the hotel, so the fire trucks had difficulty approaching, having to drag the hose about 200m to reach the scene of the fire.
By around 3:30 p.m., the fire was basically under control. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The Marriott Hotel, a 5-star international hotel, is located behind the National Convention Center, on an area of 63,000 m2 of land and 16,000 m2 of water surface. The hotel has 9 floors, 1 ground floor and 8 upper floors. The project is expected to be completed in 2012 with an investment capital of about 130 million USD.
