(Baonghean.vn) -At about 1:30 p.m. on June 1, in hamlet 1-2, Nam Loc commune (Nam Dan), 3 pine forest fires broke out at the same time.

Immediately after discovering the forest fire, Nam Loc commune mobilized local forces to put out the fire, but due to the hot weather and thick vegetation, the fire broke out fiercely, making it difficult to extinguish the fire and had to mobilize additional forces from Nam Dan Forest Ranger Department, Mobile Forest Ranger PCCCR No. 1, Brigade 414 (a total of over 450 people).

The forces worked closely together to bravely extinguish the forest fire, among them a soldier of Brigade 414 was injured during the firefighting process and was promptly rescued. With the active efforts of the people and the forces to extinguish the forest fire, by 4:30 p.m., two fires were controlled, the remaining fire was cut with a firebreak to weaken the fire and contain it.

It is known that the three fires above were burning at the same time. According to authorities, the cause is being determined to be someone intentionally setting fire to the forest, the police are investigating to clarify.
