Fire at Vicentra luxury apartment complex

(Baonghean) -At around 4:00 p.m. today, May 11, a fire broke out on the 5th floor of the Vicentra luxury apartment complex under construction (next to Big C supermarket, Ngu Hai street, Vinh city).

The initial cause was determined to be that while constructing a waterproof ceiling using foam material, some careless workers threw cigarette butts on the floor (where many flammable materials were still gathered).

Although the staff at the scene promptly called the fire department when the fire broke out, the road was still under construction, making it difficult for the fire department to access the scene. The staff at the scene promptly used on-site firefighting equipment to control the fire and prevent it from spreading.

The incident happened during rush hour, so Ngu Hai Street was very crowded. Although there were no casualties or property damage, the incident has raised concerns about fire safety at construction sites, especially during the dry season.
