Ky Son shopping center fire
(Baonghean.vn) - Six kiosks of the Ky Son District Trade Center were completely burned down in the early morning of July 2. Many families suffered heavy losses in this fire.
The first person to discover the fire was Ms. Xuyen, who sells bread opposite the Ky Son Trade Center. Ms. Xuyen said: At that time, it was about 2:00 a.m., she got up to prepare goods and discovered a fierce fire burning from the kiosk of the District Trade Center. Immediately, she woke up everyone around, used buckets of water to put out the fire, and at the same time, everyone called the police. After about 10 minutes, the police force arrived and used a fire hose to put out the fire.
Mr. Le Van Du - Deputy Chief of Police of Muong Xen Town, said: After about 40 minutes, the people and authorities were able to put out the fire. A total of 5 kiosks rented by people to store goods and 1 kiosk for business were completely burned down.
Ms. Kha Thi Dung - owner of a business kiosk, said: her goods, mainly plastic and aluminum products... were all burned, causing damage of about 300 million VND.
Mr. Nguyen Canh Tuan, who rented a kiosk to store hairdressing and key cutting tools, also suffered a total loss of about 10 million VND. Mr. Nguyen Huu Thien, who sells household and electronic goods, also suffered a loss of about 50 million VND.
Authorities are currently protecting the scene, assessing the extent of damage and investigating the cause of the fire.
