Blood type diet

People with blood type B should avoid eating chicken, corn, lentils, tomatoes, peanuts and sesame seeds because they will affect metabolism, leading to fatigue, water retention and hypoglycemia.

Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo has come up with an interesting theory about the blood type diet. According to that, eating according to blood type will help with better digestion and weight control.

Blood type A

For better physical and mental health, people with blood type A need nutrients from carbohydrates. Thanks to low levels of hydrochloric acid and alkaline phosphate in the intestines and high levels of digestive enzymes that digest disaccharides in the intestines, the body can digest carbohydrates more effectively than digesting and metabolizing proteins and animal fats.

People with blood type A need to consume soy protein, grains and vegetables regularly during the day. Especially eat alkaline fruits such as apples, dates, berries, peaches... This blood type should avoid papaya, mango and oranges because these fruits will affect the digestive system. Dairy products are also not good for people with this blood type because they stimulate insulin reactions in the body, making them at higher risk of cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

With a proper diet, people with blood type A will have better health, a refreshing spirit, full of vitality and a longer life. People with blood type A should avoid skipping meals.

Blood type B

Type B blood is more flexible than type A and type O. People with type B blood can absorb nutrients from both animals and plants. But it is very important to maintain balance. People with type B blood tend to prefer physical and mental stability than other blood types. People with this blood type can be victims of metabolic syndrome because of higher cortisol levels in stressful situations.

People with blood type B should avoid chicken, corn, lentils, tomatoes, peanuts and sesame seeds as they affect the metabolism, resulting in fatigue, water retention and low blood sugar. Instead, they should eat more red meat, green vegetables, eggs and low-fat dairy products.

Blood type AB

This is a rare blood type. People with blood type AB have the same low stomach acid levels as those with blood type A, but they also have the same tolerance for meat as blood type B. This can be a problem because meat stored in the body is converted to fat.

People with blood type AB should avoid caffeine and alcohol when stressed. Smoked or dried meats in particular can cause stomach cancer. People with this blood type have sensitive digestive tracts, so they need to eat in short periods of time to control insulin.

Seafood, especially red snapper, salmon, sardines and tuna are the best sources of protein for people with blood type AB. However, starch and protein should not be combined in the same meal as it will cause indigestion. Therefore, eggs, tofu, seafood, green vegetables, yogurt or kefir can be the ideal diet for people with blood type AB. They can also eat red meat but should eat it in moderation.

Blood type O

People with blood type O have a higher acidity, meaning they can digest protein and fat easily. Cholesterol from animal products is beneficial for the digestive tract and calcium absorption in the body. Unlike blood type A, type O converts simple carbohydrates like grains into fat, which can affect the immune system and create unwanted inflammation. People with blood type O are also allergic to gluten, found in milk and wheat products. Cabbage, cauliflower and kidney beans can disrupt thyroid hormones. Similar to blood type AB, people with blood type O should avoid caffeine and alcohol as they can affect the body.

They should eat lean beef, lamb, chicken. In particular, eating a lot of seafood, kelp and iodized salt will increase hormone production. They should also eat eggs and nuts in moderation.

Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo's theory of the relationship between food and blood type has not been recognized because according to nutrition experts, this theory has no scientific evidence. Some experts even say that if you follow this diet, your body may lack nutrients, especially groups A and O. However, there is no reason why you should not try this theory once.
