The research team of the Military Technical Academy led by Associate Professor Dr. Chu Anh My, Head of the Technology Center, has successfully researched and manufactured many types of robots that can be applied in civil and military fields.
The indoor observation and stair climbing robot is a product that can be used in reconnaissance; detecting and moving dangerous and toxic foreign objects. With a size of 1000x600x500mm; a solidly designed, stable mechanical system and a reliable control system, the robot can climb up and down common stairs; move flexibly through uneven terrain (overcome obstacles with a maximum height of 210mm, maximum slope of 300, maximum groove width of 400mm). The robot can move at an average speed of 0.4m/s (maximum speed of 0.8m/s); can turn right, turn left, move forward, backward, stop flexibly; observe the surroundings thanks to wireless cameras and send images to the computer interface at the control position; Record video via camera with maximum distance of 300m... Stair climbing and indoor observation robot uses dedicated DC power source, has open structure to be ready to integrate additional actuators, sensors as well as other working modules.

Battlefield Robots
The sandblasting robot has been successfully designed, manufactured and tested by the research team. This product is used to clean the surface of steel plates for the shipbuilding industry. The sandblasting robot is a combination of a 4-degree-of-freedom manipulator with a moving module. The sandblasting nozzle is mounted on the manipulator.HandThe machine consists of 3 rotary joints and 1 translational joint. The moving module has a 6-wheel structure to increase grip and stability when moving on thick, uneven sand. The robot's controller is optimally designed, including a calculation and signal processing center (CPU) and power circuit clusters (driver). The starting systems (motor), drive, sensors... are calculated and selected according to industrial robot standards. The robot's position is determined by the sensing signals of ultrasonic sensors. The sandblasting robot operates in 2 modes: Fully automatic mode and manual control mode.
In order to apply in reconnaissance; occupying the battlefield; secret, surprise combat; street combat; anti-riot... the research team has initially successfully manufactured a battlefield robot. The robot weighs less than 120kg; the size is no larger than 1500x800x1000mm with a sturdy, stable mechanical system; a reliable control system, the robot can move flexibly through uneven, rough, bumpy terrain (natural terrain); turn right, left, forward, backward, stop flexibly; observe the surroundings thanks to wireless cameras, send camera images to the computer interface at the control position, record camera videos and can aim and shoot through camera images and mount AK or B41 guns...
