Lieutenant Colonel To Huu Tri - Deputy Head of the Immigration Department said: Every year, the processing of passports and travel documents after Tet is stressful due to the huge demand. To meet the people's demands, the Department has mobilized all forces, coordinated with the ward police and the community order, and arranged additional desks to receive documents to quickly complete procedures for the people.
To avoid the situation of "brokers" doing the procedures, this year, the Department organized to take photos of the documents right at the headquarters. At the same time, it also created conditions for 4 mountainous districts to get the passports on the same day to save on travel expenses.
