The shaky Xop Mat village

(Baonghean) -Recently, Xop Mat is also known for its makeshift living. The reason is that the old residence at the foot of Pu Lom, on the right bank of the Nam Non River, has a large crack in the mountain, threatening the safety, forcing 37 households to move to a new residence. The resettlement area was surveyed and under construction, but another crack was discovered, forcing another survey. Currently, the resettlement project is in the process of leveling the ground and the construction is facing difficulties because it is the rainy season.

The people of Xop Mat are living in precarious temporary houses on the left bank of the Nam Non River. It is the rainy season, so the risk of flash floods and landslides is very high. Some households are trying to return to their old homes!
