Vinh City Tax Department: Enforced suspension of using invoices of a business with tax arrears
(Baonghean.vn) -This afternoon, November 27, 2012, Vinh City Tax Department coordinated with the authorities to enforce the suspension of invoice usage for Phuong Nam Joint Stock Company (headquartered at 14/A2 Dinh Le Street - Vinh City).
Phuong Nam Joint Stock Company is an enterprise that exploits and trades soil, stone, sand, gravel, clay and constructs houses, traffic works and irrigation works. Established in June 2007, but since mid-2008 Phuong Nam Joint Stock Company has had tax arrears. According to Notice No. 2200 CCT-QLN dated November 4, 2012 on the application of tax debt enforcement measures by suspending the use of invoices of Vinh City Tax Department, up to now Phuong Nam Joint Stock Company has owed up to VND 1,018,408,871, including taxes: corporate income tax, value added tax, land rent, environmental resource tax, administrative fines in the field of tax and fees. At the enforcement session, the working group took inventory of value added tax invoices, sealed 414 unused invoices and assigned the responsibility of preservation to the representative of Phuong Nam Joint Stock Company.

According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Head of the working group, Phuong Nam Joint Stock Company is a company that deliberately delays paying taxes to the State. This is clearly shown on the invoices; every month, this company issues invoices with hundreds of millions of VND to customers. Most recently, on November 14, 2012, Phuong Nam Joint Stock Company issued invoices to customers with the amount of 80 million VND.

According to Mr. Hung, Phuong Nam Joint Stock Company is only allowed to use invoices after the suspension period has expired, or after it has complied with the decision to sanction administrative violations related to taxes or invoices, and has documents of payment to the state budget sent to the tax authority to make a record of unsealing the invoices. If Phuong Nam Joint Stock Company removes, moves or changes the status of the seal, it will be handled according to the provisions of law.
The working group drew up a record after organizing the sealing.
It is known that previously, on November 22, 2012, Vinh City Tax Department also enforced the suspension of invoice usage with Chau Tien Company Limited (located in Area A, Nam Cam Industrial Park). This company has a long-standing tax debt of 601,521,290 VND.
