Directing to speed up the progress of relocation and resettlement of Hua Na Hydropower Project
(Baonghean.vn) -The Standing Committee of Que Phong District Party Committee has just issued Directive No. 12-CT/HU dated April 19, 2012 on speeding up the relocation and resettlement of Hua Na Hydropower Project.
Accordingly, the District People's Committee focused on directing the acceleration of the completion of resettlement sites; organizing the drawing of lots for housing locations for households to ensure fairness, transparency and democracy; promptly paying compensation and resettlement support, promptly handling problems in the process of construction, compensation and site clearance. The investor, Hua Na Hydropower Company, accelerated the construction of resettlement sites; proactively arranged capital to pay compensation; organized land measurement and allocation for people in the resettlement area.
For the Propaganda Department, the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, functional departments and committees, authorities, and socio-political organizations, strengthen propaganda and mobilize people in households subject to resettlement to strictly comply with the Party and State's policies on compensation and resettlement support; propagate the significance and importance of the Hua Na Hydropower Project to the socio-economic development of the country and locality.
Hua Na Hydropower Project with a capacity of 180 MW started in 2008. Up to now, the project has basically completed the construction of the dam, water tunnel and installation of the generator system. The project is expected to store water in June 2012 and generate electricity for Units 1 and 2 at the end of 2012.
