Towards the 66th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2013), on the morning of July 21, the Youth Union of Nghe An Newspaper visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Tong - the mother that Nghe An Newspaper has adopted and is currently being cared for at the Home for Martyrs' Relatives in Dien Chau District.
(Baonghean.vn) -Towards the 66th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2013), on the morning of July 21, the Youth Union of Nghe An Newspaper visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Tong - the mother that Nghe An Newspaper has adopted and is currently being cared for at the Home for Martyrs' Relatives in Dien Chau District.
Nghe An Newspaper Youth Union visited and gave gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Tong.
Mother Nguyen Thi Tong (from Thanh Linh, Thanh Chuong) had her only son, Nguyen Van Hoe, who died in 1973. She is now 97 years old and has been cared for and supported by Nghe An Newspaper for the rest of her life since 1996. Every year, in addition to monthly allowances, officers and employees of Nghe An Newspaper regularly care for, visit and support her whenever she is sick, ill, and give gifts on holidays and Tet.
On this occasion, the Youth Union also visited and encouraged the wounded soldiers and martyrs' relatives who are currently being cared for at the center.
