Like the Thai ethnic women in Chau Hoi commune, Ms. Hoang Thi Tam (born in 1960), in Tan 2 village, Chau Hoi commune, is always diligent and hard-working in growing rice, pruning corn... to take care of her family's life. However, her family's economic life is still difficult, due to unfavorable natural conditions, along with the old way of thinking and doing things that do not bring about success.Economic efficiency. With the Women's Union's propaganda, mobilization and guidance on new science and technology in production and animal husbandry, she boldly did business in a new way.

In 2005, thanks to a loan of 10 million VND from the District Social Policy Bank, her family invested in building a pig farm to raise breeding pigs, each year producing 2 litters of 20-30 piglets, one for her to sell and one for her family to raise for meat. Thanks to the correct application of breeding and disease prevention techniques, the pigs grow quickly and are healthy. Each year, after deducting the cost of raising pigs, the family earns a profit of 25-30 million VND. In addition to raising pigs, she also reclaims land to expand the area to grow food crops, digs ponds to raise fish, raises 2 buffaloes, 3 cows and dozens of chickens and ducks.

Thanks to that, each year her family earns nearly 2 tons of rice, 10 million VND in corn, potatoes, beans, and fish (not to mention her buffalo and cows that are growing). Up to now, her family has not only paid off the loan but also has food and savings, built a spacious house, bought amenities for daily life, and invested in the children's education.

In addition to taking care of the family's economic development, she also actively participates in social activities. As the head of the Women's Association of the village, she always encourages women to unite, work hard in production, and develop the economy to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty. At the same time, she propagates for women to stay away from backward customs and actively carry out the movement to build a "warm, equal, progressive, happy" family through many practical activities such as: implementing family planning well, raising healthy children, teaching good children, giving children a full education...

From 2006 to now, she has always been trusted by the women to be elected as the Head of the Women's Union of Tan 2 village, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Chau Hoi commune. With the work of the Union, Ms. Hoang Thi Tam is always enthusiastic and energetic. With her family, she is a responsible and thoughtful mother.
