Vietcombank Trung Do branch hands over medical equipment to Chau Phong commune

(Baonghean.vn)-Implementing the program of each agency and unit helping a poor commune in the western region of the province, on the morning of December 21, at Chau Phong commune, Quy Chau district, the Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam - Trung Do Branch handed over medical equipment to the commune health station.

The total amount of medical equipment sponsored and delivered in 2013 was worth 90 million VND, including refrigerators, generators and other essential medical equipment for the Commune Health Station Clinic and 20 sets of medical equipment and supplies for 19 village nurses.

Leaders of Trung Do Foreign Trade Bank Branch presented medical equipment to the People's Committee and Health Station of Chau Phong commune.

Chau Phong is one of the three poor communes of Quy Chau district without electricity, people's lives are still difficult, 49% of households are poor, medical examination equipment for people is still lacking. Previously, in 2012, Vietcombank Trung Do Branch sponsored the construction of a clean water project worth 100 million VND for the People's Committee, Medical Station, School and donated a house of gratitude to a poor household in Chau Phong commune.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Phan Viet Phong, Deputy Director of Vietcombank Trung Do Branch, hoped that the local authorities would preserve and make good use of the handed-over equipment to better serve the health examination and care of local people.

On this occasion, Vietcombank Trung Do Branch also presented 10 gifts, each worth 300,000 VND to 10 poor households in the commune and held a ceremony to attach a House of Gratitude sign, worth 50 million VND to Mr. Luong Quyet Thang's family in Quang village, Chau Phong commune/.
