Chi Trung suddenly gives up the role of Traffic God

In Tao Quan 2014, comedian Chi Trung will not play the role of Traffic God like every year.

A source said that Meritorious Artist Chi Trung had talked about stopping playing the role of Traffic God for quite a while, around June 2013. However, Director Do Thanh Hai has yet to give any official answer.

The reason Meritorious Artist Chi Trung gave up the role of Traffic God was because he realized that the 'material' to make an attractive and unique Traffic God role was not as abundant as in previous years.

The traffic situation in Vietnam in 2014 is assessed to be improving and that is inversely proportional to the less creative "material" to create satire and criticism in the role of Traffic God.

Briefly sharing about the decision to give up the role of Traffic God, Chi Trung said: "This year, the role of Traffic God is limited, not as much as in previous years! I myself feel that I am getting bored. I don't want to lose the love of the audience for the role of Traffic God, so I made this decision. I don't want my role to be repeated, especially repeating bad-mouthing - and if bad-mouthing is not true, it is really dangerous."

Some people think that Chi Trung quit the role of Traffic God because he could not stand the pressure from the relationships he mentioned in his role on VTV, however, when contacting the comedian, we learned that this is completely baseless.

"People think it's pressure, but it's not! In 2013, I was criticized so strongly by the Traffic God, but all my personal and emotional relationships were still good, there were no problems," he affirmed.

Tao Quan (Meeting at the end of the year) is a VTV television program that millions of people look forward to, broadcast on New Year's Eve. The program's production began in 2003 and 2013 will mark 10 years of broadcasting.

The familiar comedians in Tao Quan are loved by many people such as Chi Trung, Quang Thang, Quoc Khanh, Van Dung, Xuan Bac, Tu Long, Cong Ly, Thanh Trung.... In which Xuan Bac plays the role of Nam Tao, Cong Ly specializes in playing the role of Bac Dau, Quoc Khanh plays the role of Ngoc Hoang.
