The world's longest range electric car
Australian car manufacturer Holden has unveiled the world's first electric car with a total range of more than 500km in Sydney.
At the launch ceremony, the company said that this superior Holden Volt is a one-of-a-kind, all-electric vehicle designed to operate in all weather conditions and it can travel more than 500 km depending on temperature, terrain and driving technique.

According to Holden, the five-door, four-seat Volt will be available in Australia in late 2012.
“The Holden Volt could be the only car you’ll ever need,” Holden Chairman and Managing Director Mike Devereux told reporters. “The Volt promises to revolutionize the way people think about electric vehicles with its world-class powertrain, cutting-edge styling and outstanding safety.”
