Hoanh Son Communal House in Khanh Son Commune, Nam Dan District was built in 1763 with 7 compartments, 8 trusses, and 36 pillars. This is considered the most beautiful communal house in the Central region with massive architecture and elaborate and sophisticated carvings. The images and patterns in the communal house such as: the eight immortals, riding cranes, playing chess, boat racing, the four sacred animals, the four seasons, eagles, dragon nests... express the philosophical views of life imbued with the spirit of humanity and reflect the art of carving that has reached the level of mastery of 18th-century artisans.
