Brave Soldier: Dramatic reenactment of the Long Luong case

Episode 14 of the program "Brave Soldier" recreated in a realistic and dramatic way the "Battle of Dragon Hill", inspired by a real case coded 279LL, 18TN, 19TN. This is one of the particularly complex cases, mobilizing many forces to coordinate to destroy a large-scale armed drug trafficking ring in the Vietnam - Laos border area.

The program puts soldiers into a tense scenario, simulating the capture of a drug gang with many sophisticated tricks in Long Luong, Son La. The mission requires decisiveness, intelligence and adherence to the principle of "shooting to suppress, not shooting to shoot down".

Reenactment of "The Battle of Dragon Hill"

The training battle was based on anecdotes about the historical feats of the People's Public Security Forces. In reality, 10 soldiers had to cross forests, streams, more than 20km of mountain roads, carry nearly 30kg of military equipment and lie in ambush for 5 days and 4 nights with only dry food to capture the criminal group.

In the program, the role-playing soldiers also face the challenge of marching over 4km of forest road with heavy military equipment. Harsh weather conditions such as heavy rain, slippery terrain and insects further increase the difficulty. The biggest challenge is to maintain absolute concealment, because even the smallest mistake can cause the entire operation to fail.

One of the climax situations was when the team discovered a favorable position to attack but there was a possibility of children appearing. After consulting via walkie-talkie, the task force decided "No attack" to ensure absolute safety, requesting the teams to continue monitoring, showing humanity and caution in combat.

Harsh training and true stories

To be able to participate in the battle of life and death, the soldiers had to undergo extremely harsh training. Live-fire training with AK-47 is an important part, requiring high concentration, steely spirit and precise teamwork skills.

Sharing in the program, the participating artists recounted their real experiences. Song Luan said: "I didn't dare make any noise... I didn't dare tear the packaging too hard when eating, I ate with one hand while the other hand was still on the trigger." Meanwhile, Mono shared the "goosebumps" feeling when all the members unanimously decided to "Fight!" at the decisive moment.

Behind the Battle: Tears and Sacrifice

Episode 14 not only has dramatic action scenes but also brings quiet moments. Colonel Tran Thanh Son, who directly participated in directing the project, shared emotional stories about the sacrifice of his comrades, especially Captain Luong Phat Chiem in 2014.

The Colonel's tears when recalling sad memories showed the great loss in the war against drugs. "When my colleagues fell... everyone probably thought it was their fault," he shared. The story of the silent sacrifice of the soldiers and their strong rear brought many emotions to the audience, helping them better understand the hardships of the war to protect the peace of the Fatherland.
